Healthy Homemade Nut Milk Recipes
Store bought nut milks are often made with questionable fillers and binders, added cane sugar, and non-organic nuts (i.e. filled with pesticides and herbicides). Luckily, making your own healthy, fresh, organic homemade nut milks is easy and even more affordable!
DIRECTIONS FOR ALL OF THESE RECIPES:
1. Pre-soak the nuts in water (make sure they are completely immersed in the water) in a glass jar in the fridge for 6 hours. All nuts contain anti-nutrients that inhibit absorption of minerals and amino acids. By soaking the nuts, it leaches out most of the anti-nutrients into the water. Discard the soak water at the end.
2. Add all of the ingredients into a nut milk maker (my favorite is from MioMat) and hit the raw nut milk mode.
3. Once finished (takes about 7 minutes) pour the liquid through a fine mesh sieve (comes with the MioMat) into a large glass jar.
4. Store extra servings in the fridge and consume within 5 days.
5. All of the recipes below make 3 servings and one serving equals 8 ounces. They are great on their own, added to smoothies, or with cereal.
CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT MILK
~ 20 ounces filtered water
~ 1.5 cups raw organic hazelnuts
~ 3 tablespoons fermented organic cacao powder
~ 3 tablespoons roasted organic carob powder
~ 3 tablespoons organic maple syrup

TRIPLE COCONUT MILK
~ 20 ounces filtered water
~ 3/4 cup dried organic coconut shreds
~ 3 tablespoons dried organic coconut water powder
~ 2 teaspoons dried organic coconut sugar

LUCUMA WALNUT MILK
~ 20 ounces filtered water
~ 1.5 cups raw organic walnuts
~ 2 tablespoons dried organic lucuma powder
~ 1 tablespoon organic maple syrup

BUTTER PECAN MILK
~ 20 ounces filtered water
~ 1.5 cups raw organic pecans
~ 3 tablespoons grass-fed organic cultured ghee
~ 3 tablespoons organic maple syrup
~ 1.5 teaspoons organic ceylon cinnamon powder

MACA MACADAMIA MILK
~ 20 ounces filtered water
~ 1 cup raw organic macadamia nuts
~ 3 tablespoons organic maple syrup
~ 1.5 teaspoons gelatinized organic maca root

MAPLE BRAZILNUT MILK
~ 16 ounces filtered water
~ 9 raw organic brazil nuts
~ 6 tablespoons dried organic coconut meat shreds
~ 3 tablespoons organic maple syrup
~ 2 tablespoons dried organic lucuma powder

VANILLA CASHEW MILK
~ 20 ounces filtered water
~ 1.5 cups raw organic cashews
~ 3 tablespoons organic vanilla paste
~ 3 tablespoons organic maple syrup
~ 2 tablespoons dried organic lucuma powder
