We began as a consulting company in California, moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1999, and have been designing far infrared saunas longer than any other US company. Here’s how we got here.

A Different Kind of Sauna Company
We’ve been designing far infrared saunas since 1997, when we introduced our first Thermal Life® models. Our team includes an electrical engineer, a chiropractor, a holistic health practitioner, a nutritionist, a biochemist, a biologist and a psychotherapist.
Thousands of health practitioners recommend our saunas, and they appear in more than 40 published books on detoxification, longevity and environmental health. We pioneered low-EMF heater design, with US patents 9,770,386 and 10,765,597 (Google Patents, new tab).
Decades of work with environmental medicine practitioners, and with some of the most chemically sensitive people anywhere, have shaped every sauna we make. Today our saunas are used in environmental health centers that care for people with serious health challenges.

The beginnings
Our company is founded
Founded as a consulting company, we begin business in Danville, California.
High Tech H2O
The company begins doing business as High Tech H2O, and we sell our first water electrolyzers.
On the web
Always the pioneers, we put up our first website and start doing business on the web at hightechh2o.com. Even Google hasn’t been on the web as long as we have.
Thermal Life® infrared saunas
We introduce the first version of the Thermal Life® far infrared sauna.
High Tech Health, Inc.
To better reflect where the company is heading, we officially change our name to High Tech Health, Inc.
Boulder, Colorado
We move to Colorado
The company relocates to Boulder, Colorado. We officially incorporate in Colorado on January 5, 2000.
Nutritional supplements
We introduce our first supplement formulation.
Growing in Boulder
Our offices move to 1919 7th Street in 2003, to Pearl East Circle in 2005, and to larger offices on Arapahoe Avenue in 2015.
High Tech Health International, Inc.
Now with significant business in Europe and Canada, we officially change our name to High Tech Health International, Inc.
Carbon negative
We become the first company in our markets to be better than carbon neutral. Greenshipping.com’s analysts calculate the offsets needed to cancel the carbon from moving our products from factory to your door, and we move our office’s electricity to Xcel Energy’s Windsource program. A new supplement design
We announce a new delivery design for supplements, and start offering Vitamin C and Glutathione made with it to MDs.
R-lipoic acid
We add R-lipoic acid to our line of supplements, and begin offering it directly to consumers.
Goodbye, Greenshipping.com
Greenshipping.com closes its doors, but we continue our program of being carbon negative and supporting high-quality carbon offsets.
