Six Infrared Saunas. One Standard.
Our Standard, in Four Numbers
Four things decide what a session does for you, and what it doesn't do to you. Hold any sauna to them. Every Transcend has all four, and the evidence for each is published.
34% More Infrared into Your Body
So a session takes less time to do the same work. Measured absorption, Transcend heaters vs. a carbon-panel sauna at the same air temperature. Method →
46% Less CO₂ in the Cabin
Active ventilation exchanges the air throughout your session, so it stays fresh the entire time. Method →
All 3 EMF Fields Mitigated and Measured
Magnetic, electric, and radio-frequency EMF, each one mitigated. Measured where you sit by a third-party. We report the highest readings found, not the most flattering. Report →
100% Solid Wood Construction
No plywood, no particle board, so there aren't those concerning adhesives heating up around you. Compare →
Find the Right Fit
Foundation or Smart
Choose the experience. Identical underneath. Smart shows you what each session did, and when the next one matters most.
Far Infrared + Optional Full Spectrum
Every Transcend currently ships with the far-infrared front heaters we recommend. For a limited time, add our upcoming Full Spectrum front-heater set for $300. It ships separately when available, expected January.
One-, Two-, or Three-Person
Choose the size. We usually recommend the two-person, even for people who will always use it alone.
Not sure which sauna is right for you?
Tell us about your room and your week, and we'll tell you which Transcend fits, why, and give you a spec you can hold any sauna against.
Foundation or Smart?
Nothing that determines what a session does for you changes between them: same heaters, same fresh air, same field mitigation, same solid wood. The question is whether you want to know what those sessions are doing.

The sauna itself, complete.
Set the time and the temperature and get in. No screen, no app to pair. We provide protocols to get your sessions started.

Confidence in Your Progress
The hard part of owning a sauna isn’t the heat. It’s knowing whether you’re doing enough of it.
Heat adaptation builds with regular sessions and fades when you stop. Smart keeps track of that process for you, using a model built from thousands of core-temperature measurements.
Sauna Fitness™ shows where you stand. Sauna Guide™ looks ahead and helps you understand which upcoming days a session will build your adaptation, which will maintain it, and how long you’d need to stay in. And because Transcend heaters deliver 34% greater absorption, the session it asks for is shorter to begin with.

Less guessing whether you’re using it enough. More confidence that the time you do spend is moving you forward.

Far Infrared Now. Full Spectrum If You Want It.
Every Transcend currently ships with our far-infrared front heaters — the configuration we recommend based on the research.
For a limited time, you can also reserve our upcoming Full Spectrum front-heater set for $300. It ships separately when available, expected January, and swaps in for the far-infrared front heaters in minutes. That means you don’t have to decide between them: you can own both.
We recommend far infrared, and we publish the research behind that recommendation.
Our full-spectrum front heaters have no touchable hot spot. Ask whether the sauna you’re considering has a warning on the glass.

How much room do you want inside?
Start with the two-person. Two adults fit comfortably; one adult fits luxuriously because the bench is wide enough to sit sideways with your legs up. The one-person bench isn’t. Most people who buy the one-person do it because of the space available, not because they wanted a smaller sauna.
Which makes floor space the real question, not how many people. Before you decide: mark the footprint on the floor with painter’s tape and leave it down for a day. It settles the question better than a tape measure, and it routinely helps find a location you didn’t initially consider.

3-Person Infrared Saunas
The three-person gives you the widest cabin and the greatest freedom to spread out. It is the natural choice for people who expect to sauna together regularly—or simply want the most open interior possible.

67¾”W x 46¼”D x 77½”H - Interior:
64½”W × 41″D × 70″H - Foundation from $6,895
- Smart from $8,195

2-Person Infrared Saunas
Two adults fit comfortably. One adult fits luxuriously. The bench is wide enough to sit sideways with your legs up, which is why we recommend the two-person even to many people who expect to use their sauna alone.

- Exterior:
48¼”W x 46¼”D x 77½”H - Interior:
45″W × 41″D × 70″H - Foundation from $6,495
- Smart from $7,795

1-Person Infrared Saunas
The diagonal bench creates more elbow room and a more open feeling than you might expect from a one-person cabin. It is the best choice when floor space matters most, though the compact interior means you will generally sauna in one position.

Exterior: 37½”W x 39¼”D x 77½”H
Interior: 34¼”W × 34″D × 70″H

- Smart from $7,395

Still deciding?
90 seconds and we will tell you which one and why -- including when the answer is the less expensive one.
A sauna is a purchase you should expect to keep.
High Tech Health has been building infrared saunas since 1997. Transcend saunas are designed in Boulder, Colorado, and are backed by a 10-year residential limited warranty. Smart displays in our Smart series carry separate three-year coverage.
Recommended by More Practitioners Than Any Other Sauna
High Tech Health saunas also appear in more than 40 published books on detoxification, longevity, and environmental health.
That same mix of health and engineering expertise shapes the sauna itself. Our design team includes an electrical engineer, a chiropractor, a holistic health practitioner, a nutritionist, a biochemist, a biologist, and a psychotherapist. It takes longer and costs more to build a sauna our way. We think the difference shows up in the measurements.

Most RecommendedFrequently asked questions
Can a Foundation buyer add Smart later?
No. The display, wiring and controls are built into the cabin at manufacture, so the choice is made at order time.
Can I change from full-spectrum to far-infrared (or vice versa) later?
Yes! If you decide later you would prefer the other configuration, you can order the other set of front heaters.
Can I put an infrared sauna in my apartment or bedroom?
Yes — it's one of the most common setups for our TR-1. You need roughly 3.5 by 3.5 feet of floor space and standard ceiling height. No steam, no moisture, no drainage, no room modifications needed. It plugs into a regular outlet and disassembles completely if you move. Our 2-person saunas also fit well in bedrooms and bathrooms; 3-person saunas suit fitness rooms, larger bathrooms, and living spaces.
How hard is assembly?
Two people, about an hour, one screwdriver. The power electronics aren't in the roof, so the heaviest piece isn't the one going overhead. Step-by-step videos are available for every model, and our team is a phone call away if you need anything.
Can I put the sauna on carpet?
Yes.
Can I pay with HSA or FSA funds?
Yes! We've partnered with Truemed to make it easy to use your HSA or FSA funds toward your sauna purchase. Just let your product specialist know you'd like to pay with HSA or FSA, and they'll walk you through the process at checkout.
I have more questions. Can I talk to someone?
Call 1-800-794-5355 or request a callback. You'll reach our team in Boulder, Colorado — health practitioners who use the sauna every day and can answer clinical, technical, and practical questions.
How is it delivered?
Prepaid freight, curbside on a pallet, 7–9 working days.
Why do the lines offer different woods?
Poplar is available on both. Beyond that, the Foundation comes in hemlock and the Smart in okoume, which we introduced recently for its darker, warmer grain. Because of the resemblance, several brands sell okoume as "mahogany." All three are solid wood, and none of them changes anything about the heaters, the ventilation, or the field mitigation.
How do you compare to a $2,500 sauna?
Different construction. Ask any sauna in that range four questions: which fields were measured and is the report published; is there plywood in the cabin, and if so what do those adhesives do at 150°F; does the air get exchanged during a session; and how long has the company existed. We've been building infrared saunas since 1997 and no Transcend heater has ever failed in the field.
Does it need a special outlet or an electrician to set up?
Our one- and two-person saunas only need an ordinary 120V 15A household outlet. Three-person saunas require a dedicated 120V 20A circuit and outlet.
